The Story Behind Our Natural Health Care Products
As a teenager, I became fascinated with the profound ability of herbs to promote health and prevent illness. My grandmother was the most influential person in my life because of her interest in health foods, herbs and alternative therapies.
In my late teens and twenties, I learned about the synthetic ingredients in cosmetics while selling top brand names in department stores. I heard many complaints and doubts from the customers that opened my eyes to the world of natural ingredients and products that were cruelty free. I began to realize that beauty and health begins from inside and I was about to embark on the road to discovering my true desire in life...to provide beauty and health care products that are made from pure and natural ingredients.
The realization of my connection to medicinal plants was encouraged by my relationship with a Native American Indian. He told me that I had a gift, the power to heal and that I am a "Medicine Woman". It validated my own inner feelings and awakened a deep desire to pursue this path.
As an Herbalist, I continue to be interested in alternative therapies. I have completed a course on Naturopathy that embraces the idea that the body has the ability to heal itself. I also attended an introductory class on Iridology, an old science of the iris that goes as far back as Hippocrates. The iris is like a map of the body and reveals disease and specific health conditions of the body. This additional knowledge is invaluable to any health practitioner. I continue to study the amazing power of essential oils to alter our physical, emotional and mental states!
My dream of becoming a healer, herbalist and manufacturer of natural health care products could never have been realized without the support and encouragement of my life partner, my husband Richard. He has the remarkable and unwavering ability to scrutinize every detail. He's a true visionary and his creative sense is a continuous inspiration. My formulas have been thoroughly tested beyond normal usage by him so when I get his stamp of approval, I know they are safe, effective and ready for the market!
